Bangor is an enchanting, historic cathedral and coastal university city in North Wales, nestled between the breathtaking mountains of Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) and the waters of the Menai Strait and Isle of Anglesey. Bangor is home to Bangor University (founded in 1884 by royal charter, awarded Gold in the UK Teaching Excellence Framework TEF, and ranked in the top 10 in the UK for Student Satisfaction). Bangor University is world-famous for its School of Ocean Sciences (one of the largest marine research centers in Europe with its own ocean-going research vessel Prince Madog), School of Psychology, School of Environmental and Natural Sciences, Bangor Business School, School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, and the North Wales Medical School (MB BCh Medicine). Degrees are taught 100% in English within the British higher education system. International students benefit from some of the lowest student living and rental costs in Britain, safe and friendly community, and direct UK Student Visa (CAS) support.
