Why study at Chichester

Chichester is an ancient Roman and historic cathedral city in West Sussex on the South Coast of England, nestled between the South Downs National Park and Chichester Harbour (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), located just 90 minutes by direct train from London Victoria and 40 minutes from Brighton and Portsmouth. Celebrated for the magnificent 11th-century Chichester Cathedral, famous Chichester Festival Theatre, Roman Palace at Fishbourne, and world-renowned Goodwood Estate (Festival of Speed and Revival), Chichester is home to the University of Chichester (founded in 1839 as Bishop Otter College, ranked top 40 in the UK by The Guardian and top 25 for Student Satisfaction). Operating across two picturesque campuses—Bishop Otter Campus in historic Chichester and the modern £35m Tech Park Bognor Regis Campus—the university is acclaimed for its Conservatory of Performing Arts (top 10 in the UK for Musical Theatre, Dance, and Acting), Department of Creative Digital Technologies (Game Design, VFX, and Filmmaking with state-of-the-art virtual production studios), Institute of Education, and School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, alongside Chichester College (top FE college in England). Degrees are taught 100% in English within the British higher education system. International students benefit from an idyllic English countryside setting near South Coast beaches, personalized small class sizes, and direct UK Student Visa (CAS) support.
