Why study at Cluj-Napoca

Cluj-Napoca is the vibrant, historic capital of Transylvania and Romania's premier academic, medical, and high-tech innovation capital ('The Silicon Valley of Eastern Europe'), celebrated for its Gothic St. Michael's Church on Unirii Square, youthful student population (over 100,000 students making up 25% of the city), and booming IT software development cluster (home to over 1,500 tech companies and Untold Festival). Cluj-Napoca is one of Europe's top destinations for English- and French-taught medical and engineering degrees, home to leading Romanian universities: Iuliu Hațieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMF Cluj - founded in 1919, top-ranked medical university in Romania and world-renowned for training thousands of international doctors, dentists, and pharmacists with CIDMEF and international accreditations), Babeș-Bolyai University (UBB - founded in 1581, the largest university in Romania with over 45,000 students and member of the GUILD of European Research-Intensive Universities, acclaimed for Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, and Law), and Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN - powerhouse in AI, Robotics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering). Degrees are taught 100% in English (and French for Medicine) within the European Bologna system with automatic recognition throughout the EU/EEA, UK, and worldwide. International students benefit from some of the lowest living costs in the European Union, safe European lifestyle, and direct Romanian Student Visa / European Residence Permit rights.
