Why study at East Lansing

East Lansing is the quintessential Big Ten American college town in central Michigan on the Red Cedar River, located immediately adjacent to the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing (90 minutes from Detroit and Lake Michigan). Celebrated for its iconic Beaumont Tower, Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum (designed by Zaha Hadid), Spartan Stadium (home of the Big Ten MSU Spartans), and vibrant student culture along Grand River Avenue, East Lansing is the home of Michigan State University (MSU - founded in 1855 as the nation's premier land-grant institution, elite member of the Association of American Universities AAU and Big Ten Academic Alliance with over 51,000 students and $800+ million in annual research). MSU is world-famous for the Eli Broad College of Business (ranked #1 in the US for undergraduate and graduate Supply Chain Management / Logistics for over a decade by US News & World Report), College of Engineering (leading research in composite materials, autonomous vehicles, and computer science), College of Education (#1 in the US for elementary and secondary education for 28 consecutive years), College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB - world-leading $730m Department of Energy nuclear physics particle accelerator facility on campus). Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from generous merit scholarships (#YouAreWelcomeHere awards), direct automotive and corporate supply chain recruitment (General Motors, Ford, Amazon, Boeing), safe welcoming community, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
