Admission requirements
Secondary School Certificate / High School Diploma & Transcripts
Certified secondary school graduation certificate (Tawjihi, Thanawiya, High School Diploma, WAEC, or IB) with official transcripts translated into English, submitted via EMU's direct online international portal (minimum 70% average for Pharmacy; 80%+ for Medicine).
English Language Proficiency (IELTS / TOEFL / EMU English Proficiency Test)
IELTS Academic (minimum 5.5–6.0+), TOEFL iBT (minimum 65–75+), or students can take the official EMU English Proficiency Exam upon arrival (students scoring below requirements complete 1–2 semesters at EMU Foreign Languages Preparatory School).
Student Visa
International students do not require a pre-arrival embassy visa for Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Students travel using their official EMU Acceptance Letter (Letter of Acceptance) and transit through Turkey (Istanbul Airport IST / Sabiha Gökçen SAW) to Ercan International Airport (ECN). At Ercan airport immigration, students present their EMU acceptance letter to receive an official Student Entry Transit Visa. Upon arrival on campus in Famagusta, EMU's International Student Office assists students in completing their medical test and registering for the annual TRNC Student Residence Permit online (Muhaceret).
