Why study at Flagstaff

Flagstaff is the breathtaking high-altitude mountain college city of northern Arizona, situated at 7,000 feet (2,130 meters) elevation surrounded by the world's largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest at the base of the San Francisco Peaks (featuring Mount Humphreys, Arizona's highest point), celebrated as the official 'Gateway to the Grand Canyon National Park' (just 80 minutes north) and the World's First International Dark Sky City (home to Lowell Observatory, where Pluto was discovered). Famous for Historic Route 66, four distinct sunny seasons, Olympic high-altitude training facilities, and vibrant mountain outdoor lifestyle (skiing at Arizona Snowbowl, mountain biking, hiking), Flagstaff is the flagship home of Northern Arizona University (NAU - founded in 1899, major public Carnegie R1 / high-research university with over 28,000 students). NAU is globally celebrated for the W. A. Franke College of Business (AACSB-accredited, with the world-renowned School of Hotel and Restaurant Management ranked top 10 globally), College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences (national top 5 in Forestry, Ecological Restoration, and Astronomy/Planetary Science with NASA Mars mission research), College of Engineering, Informatics, and Applied Sciences (Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering), and College of Health and Human Services (Physical Therapy DPT, Physician Assistant, Nursing). Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from NAU's famous 4-year fixed tuition guarantee (no tuition increases), generous Global Excellence Scholarships, world-class environmental research, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
