Why study at Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is the glamorous coastal metropolis and yachting capital of the United States situated in Broward County along the Atlantic Ocean in South Florida ('The Venice of America' with over 300 miles of navigable inland waterways), located just 25 miles north of Miami. Celebrated for its world-famous palm-lined beaches, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (largest in-water boat show in the world), vibrant Las Olas Boulevard shopping & arts district, Port Everglades (one of the top cruise and cargo ports in North America), and 0% state personal income tax in Florida, Fort Lauderdale is a premier healthcare, marine science, and higher education powerhouse. The city is the main campus home of Nova Southeastern University (NSU Florida - founded in 1964, top-tier private Carnegie research university with over 21,000 students and a 314-acre campus in Davie / Fort Lauderdale). NSU is internationally acclaimed for its Health Professions Division (the largest healthcare education complex in Florida, home to the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine DO, Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine MD, College of Dental Medicine DMD, and College of Pharmacy PharmD), the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences & Guy Harvey Oceanographic Center (world top-ranked in Coral Reef Restoration and Marine Biology), H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship (AACSB-accredited), and Shepard Broad College of Law, alongside Broward College (consistently ranked in the top 3 Community Colleges in the nation by the Aspen Institute) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU Fort Lauderdale campus). Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from zero state income tax, sunny tropical resort lifestyle, generous NSU International Merit Scholarships, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
