Why study at Hatfield

Hatfield is a historic aviation and high-technology university town in Hertfordshire, England, situated just 20 miles north of Central London (just 25 minutes by direct Great Northern express train to London King's Cross and St Pancras International). Famous for Hatfield House (grand Jacobean estate where Queen Elizabeth I spent her childhood), the historic de Havilland Aircraft manufacturing heritage (where the world's first commercial jet airliner, the Comet, was built), and its thriving aerospace, defense, and pharmaceutical tech corridor (Ocado Group global headquarters, Airbus Defence and Space, and Roche). Hatfield is the flagship dual-campus home of the University of Hertfordshire (Herts - founded in 1952 as Hatfield Technical College, a leading business-facing university with over 32,000 students across its modern College Lane and de Havilland campuses). The University of Hertfordshire is internationally acclaimed for the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science (ranked top 10 in the UK for Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering with Formula Student, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics with advanced flight simulators and wind tunnels), Hertfordshire Business School (AACSB member and AMBA accredited for MBA), School of Creative Arts (world top 3 for Animation, VFX, and Game Design by The Rookies), and School of Life and Medical Sciences (Pharmacy MPharm and Nursing). Degrees are taught 100% in English within the UK university system. International students benefit from direct 25-minute access to London career opportunities, generous Chancellor's International Merit Scholarships, industry-sponsored placement years, and direct UK Student Visa (CAS) support with 2-year Graduate Route work visa.
