Why study at Kerrville

Kerrville is a charming, scenic university and resort city in the heart of the world-famous Texas Hill Country along the pristine Guadalupe River, situated just 60 miles northwest of San Antonio and 90 miles west of Austin. Celebrated for its rugged limestone hills, outdoor adventure (Kerrville-Schreiner Park, Louise Hays Park River Trail, and Guadalupe River canoeing/kayaking), thriving arts culture (home to the historic Kerrville Folk Festival - North America's longest continuously running music festival, and Museum of Western Art), Peterson Health regional medical system, and 0% state personal income tax in Texas. Kerrville is the proud home of Schreiner University (founded in 1923, a premier private liberal arts and professional university with a vibrant 210-acre campus). Schreiner University is internationally acclaimed for its FAA-approved Aviation (Aviation Management and Commercial Flight Training at Kerrville-Kerr County Airport ERV), Nursing (CCNE-accredited BSN program with a 100% NCLEX first-time pass rate), School of Business (BBA and MBA programs with AACSB-aligned experiential learning), Computer Information Technology (Cybersecurity and Game Design), and Pre-Professional Medical / Veterinary tracks. Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from zero state income tax, personalized small class sizes (13:1 student-faculty ratio), generous Schreiner International Merit Scholarships ($10,000 to $22,000/year), exceptional campus safety, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
