Why study at Moscow

Moscow, Idaho (affectionately celebrated as the 'Heart of the Palouse' and consistently ranked among the Top 10 Best College Towns in America) is a picturesque, exceptionally safe, friendly, and academically prestigious university town situated among the iconic rolling wheat-covered hills of the Palouse region in north-central Idaho, located just 8 miles east of Pullman, Washington (home to Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport PUW - with direct flights to Seattle, Boise, and Salt Lake City) and 85 miles south of Spokane International Airport (GEG). Celebrated for the historic tree-lined Main Street (voted one of the best main streets in America), the vibrant Moscow Farmers Market (ranked among the best in the nation), the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival (one of the largest jazz festivals in the world, founded in 1967), the 63-acre University of Idaho Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Kamiak Butte, and its booming regional economy in precision agriculture, computer science and power engineering (housing Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories SEL global manufacturing facilities - world leader in electric power grid protection and cybersecurity). Moscow is the flagship home of Idaho's premier state flagship research university: University of Idaho (U of I - established in 1889 as Idaho's land-grant flagship, elite Carnegie High Research Activity institution enrolling over 11,500 students on a gorgeous 1,585-acre Olmsted-designed parkland campus crowned by the iconic red-brick Administration Building). U of I is globally acclaimed for the College of Engineering (ABET-accredited leader in Power Engineering, Cybersecurity, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering), College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, College of Natural Resources (ranked Top 5 in the US for Forestry and Wildland Fire Sciences), College of Law (ABA-accredited), and College of Business and Economics (AACSB-accredited), alongside New Saint Andrews College. Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from an exceptionally low cost of living, generous University of Idaho International Merit Scholarships ($5,000 to $9,000/year Invitation to Idaho awards), free SMART Transit bus services, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
