Why study at Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant is a picturesque, safe, and close-knit university town nestled in the heart of Lower Michigan along the Chippewa River in Isabella County, situated 1 hour north of Lansing and 2 hours northwest of Detroit. Celebrated for its friendly collegiate atmosphere, Chippewa River parks and tubing, historic downtown with local artisan shops and dining, and a strong regional healthcare and manufacturing economy. Mount Pleasant is the flagship campus home of one of Michigan's premier public doctoral research universities: Central Michigan University (CMU - founded in 1892, Carnegie R2 doctoral research university enrolling over 15,000 students on a beautiful, walkable 480-acre parkland campus crowned by the iconic redbrick Warriner Hall clock tower). Central Michigan University is globally renowned for the College of Business Administration (AACSB-accredited, home to the nation's premier SAP University Alliances program training global enterprise ERP specialists, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, and Finance), College of Science and Engineering (leading in Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Great Lakes environmental science), College of Medicine (pioneering community-based medical education), and College of Health Professions, alongside Mid Michigan College. Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from an exceptionally affordable in-state/global tuition rate, generous CMU International President's and Maroon & Gold Merit Scholarships ($3,000 to $9,000/year), high safety, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
