Why study at Muskogee

Muskogee is a historic, welcoming, and affordable regional river port city in northeastern Oklahoma's scenic 'Green Country', situated where the Arkansas, Grand, and Verdigris Rivers converge (known as the historic Three Rivers region), located just 45 minutes southeast of Tulsa and Tulsa International Airport (TUL). Celebrated for Honor Heights Park (famous for its world-renowned Azalea Festival and Papilion butterfly house), the Five Civilized Tribes Museum, Castle of Muskogee, the inland Port of Muskogee on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, and a robust regional healthcare hub anchored by the Saint Francis Hospital South and the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center. Muskogee is a key higher education and allied health center in Oklahoma, home to the specialized branch campus of Northeastern State University (NSU Muskogee - part of Oklahoma's oldest public higher education institution founded in 1851, enrolling over 7,500 students across the NSU system). NSU Muskogee features the state-of-the-art Mike Synar Center, renowned for graduate and undergraduate programs in the College of Science and Health Professions (Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies - PAS, Nursing RN-to-BSN and MSN, Occupational Therapy), College of Business and Technology (Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems), and College of Education, alongside Connors State College (Port Campus) and historic Bacone College. Degrees are taught 100% in English with prestigious US accreditations. International students benefit from some of the lowest tuition and living expenses in the United States, generous NSU International Quad-State / Global Merit Scholarships ($2,500 to $5,000/year), dedicated faculty mentorship, and direct US F-1 / I-20 Student Visa support with 3-year STEM OPT work extensions.
