Oradea is one of Central and Eastern Europe's most beautiful, safest, and architecturally stunning university cities, situated along the Crișul Repede River in Bihor County in northwestern Romania, located just 10 km from the Hungarian border and 2 hours from Budapest. Globally renowned as Romania's Art Nouveau capital (featuring the Black Eagle Palace - Vulturul Negru, Moskovits Palace, and Baroque Roman Catholic Cathedral), celebrated for the historic Oradea Fortress (Cetatea Oradea - a pentagonal fortress from the 11th century), Baile Felix thermal spa resort (one of Europe's most famous geothermal mineral spa destinations), and rapid economic development as a major logistics and cross-border innovation hub. Oradea is a premier European medical education destination, home to the University of Oradea (Universitatea din Oradea - established in 1990, public research university enrolling over 16,000 students across 15 faculties). Degrees are taught 100% in English. International students benefit from exceptionally affordable EU tuition fees (€5,000 to €6,000/year), low living costs, modern clinical teaching hospitals, and Romania's European Union Student Visa.
