Why study at Paris

Paris (The City of Light / Ville Lumière) is the world's undisputed global capital of culture, fashion, international diplomacy, gastronomy, architecture, and higher education excellence, situated along the Seine River in the Île-de-France region in north-central France, home to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Paris Orly (ORY) international airports. Celebrated for the iconic Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum (the world's most-visited art museum with the Mona Lisa), Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, the Latin Quarter (Quartier Latin - Europe's historic academic heart since the Middle Ages), and its status as a global financial, luxury, and technology hub (La Défense - Europe's largest purpose-built business district, and Station F - the world's largest startup campus). Paris is home to an extraordinary concentration of top-ranked elite universities and Grandes Écoles: Université PSL (Paris Sciences & Lettres - ranked #24 in the world in the QS World University Rankings, boasting 28 Nobel laureates and 10 Fields Medals), Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris - ranked #46 globally, uniting École Polytechnique, Télécom Paris, and ENSTA Paris), Sorbonne Université (ranked #63 globally with an illustrious 800-year academic legacy, globally celebrated for Medicine, Sciences, and Arts & Humanities), Université Paris Cité, Sciences Po Paris (world-renowned for Political Science and International Relations), and world-leading business schools (HEC Paris, INSEAD, ESSEC, ESCP - all ranked in the European Top 5). Degrees are taught in French and 100% in English (over 1,500 English-taught programs). International students benefit from heavily subsidized French public tuition fees, French Government CAF housing subsidies (reimbursing up to 30–40% of monthly student rent), comprehensive RATP metro/RER transit, and France's post-study residence permit (APS / Recherche d'Emploi ou Création d'Entreprise) allowing up to 1 to 2 years of post-study employment.

Fees

Tuition fees in Paris depend on the institution type: at prestigious public universities (Sorbonne University, Université Paris Cité, PSL public faculties), subsidized national tuition for non-EU students is €2,770 per year for Bachelor's degrees (Licence) and €3,770 per year for Master's degrees (with many public universities granting partial fee waivers bringing tuition down to just €170 to €243/year). At elite private Grandes Écoles and top business schools (HEC Paris, ESSEC, Sciences Po, IP Paris Master's), international tuition ranges between €14,000 and €24,000 per academic year (with generous Eiffel Excellence Scholarships and institutional merit scholarships discounting €5,000 to €15,000/year). Student residences (CROUS Paris public dorms, Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris CIUP, private student residences) cost between €450 and €950 per month (reduced by €150–€250/month with the French Government CAF housing allowance), while private studio apartments in Paris intramuros range from €800 to €1,450 per month. General monthly living expenses range between €950 and €1,550.
