Admission requirements

  • Academic Transcripts & High School Certificate

    Certified secondary school certificate or bachelor's degree with notarized English or Chinese translations, showing outstanding academic standing (minimum 80%+ for Fudan and SJTU).

  • Language Proficiency & Health Examination

    IELTS Academic (6.5+) or TOEFL iBT (85–90+) for English programs; HSK Level 5 (210+ score) for Chinese programs, plus standard Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

Student Visa

International students require a Chinese X1 Study Visa. Key documents: official Admission Notice and Form JW202/JW201 issued by Fudan, SJTU, Tongji, or accredited universities in Shanghai, valid passport, and physical exam report. Within 30 days of arrival in Shanghai, the university assists the student in registering for the Student Residence Permit at the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau Exit-Entry Administration.
