Admission requirements
Secondary School Certificate / Academic Transcripts & SKVC Recognition
Certified secondary school graduation certificate (Maturity Certificate equivalent) and official transcripts with certified English translation submitted via the university admission portal (DreamApply or VU portal) with qualification recognition by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC).
English Language Proficiency (IELTS Academic / TOEFL iBT / Duolingo / CEFR)
IELTS Academic (minimum 5.5–6.0 overall for undergraduate; 6.5 for graduate and Medicine), TOEFL iBT (65–80+), Duolingo English Test (95+), or CEFR B2 certificate. Internal university online English assessment tests also available.
Student Visa
International non-EU students require a Lithuanian National Student Visa (National D-Visa) or Temporary Residence Permit (TRP - Leidimas laikinai gyventi). Key requirements include: an official Letter of Acceptance and Mediation Letter (Tarpininkavimo raštas) issued by Vilnius University or VILNIUS TECH through the MIGRIS migration portal, proof of financial funds (minimum €420/month plus return travel funds in a personal bank account), health insurance with minimum €30,000 coverage, and clean police clearance certificate. International students in Lithuania are legally authorized to work up to 40 hours per week (full-time) alongside their studies, with graduates eligible for a 12-month post-study temporary residence permit to seek employment or establish a startup in Lithuania and the EU.
