Why study at Finland

Finland is globally renowned as the world leader in education quality, innovation, and happiness. Finnish higher education institutions (such as University of Helsinki, Aalto University, and Tampere University) offer over 500 fully English-taught bachelor's and master's degree programs, especially in technology, clean energy, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, design, and pedagogy. International students benefit from state-of-the-art research labs, a 30-hour weekly student work allowance, generous university scholarship schemes, a safe and egalitarian society, and a 2-year post-study job seeker residence permit upon graduation.

Fees

Tuition fees for non-EU/EEA international students studying in English-taught programs vary by university and level. Bachelor's and master's programs typically range from €6,000 to €15,000 per academic year (most commonly €8,000–€12,000). Highly specialized master's programs at Aalto or Helsinki range up to €18,000. However, almost all Finnish universities provide merit-based tuition waivers covering 50% to 100% of fees. Monthly living costs average €700 to €1,100.
