Study abroad at Latvia

Latvia is a progressive Baltic member of the European Union and Schengen zone, offering exceptional European higher education with over 200 fully English-taught programs. Tuition fees in Latvia are among the most attractive in Northern Europe. General Medicine (MD) in English ranges between €12,000 and €15,000 per year, while Dentistry ranges from €14,000 to €16,000 per year. Bachelor's degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, and Business Administration range from €2,500 to €4,500 per year. Master's degree programs average €3,000 to €5,500 per year. Non-EU international students require a Latvian Long-Stay Visa (Type D Visa) and Temporary Residence Permit (TRP). The university issues the study contract and invites the student after receiving AIC approval and payment of tuition + security deposit. Students apply for the D-Visa at the Latvian Embassy or VFS Global, presenting the Invitation from the university approved by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA), police clearance certificate (apostilled), health insurance, and bank solvency proof (approx. €600/month).
