Why study at Bialystok

Bialystok is the largest academic, medical, and technological metropolis in northeastern Poland and the capital of the Podlaskie Voivodeship, celebrated for the baroque Branicki Palace ('Polish Versailles'), pristine Białowieża Primeval Forest nearby, and its safe, green student environment. Bialystok is internationally acclaimed as a premier destination for English-taught medical education, home to the Medical University of Bialystok (UMB - founded in 1950, recognized by WHO, US ECFMG, GMC, and European medical boards, training over 1,500 international medical doctors in its 6-year MD English program), alongside Bialystok University of Technology (PB - leading regional polytechnic for Computer Science, AI, and Robotics), and the University of Bialystok (UwB - comprehensive faculties of Law, Economics, and Biology). Degrees are taught 100% in English within the European Bologna framework and EU directives. International students benefit from having some of the lowest tuition and living costs in the European Union, modern clinical training hospitals, and direct Polish National Visa (Type D) and Temporary Residence Card (Karta Pobytu) support.
