Admission requirements

  • Special University Entrance Qualification (Nachweis der besonderen Universitätsreife)

    Proof that you meet general university entry criteria and are entitled to direct university study in your home country in the same chosen field, along with legal translations and apostille authentication.

  • Language Proficiency (German / English)

    For German-taught programs: ÖSD or Goethe-Zertifikat (level B2 or C1). For English-taught programs: IELTS Academic (6.5+) or TOEFL iBT (85+).

Student Visa

Non-EU students require a Residence Permit for Students (Aufenthaltsbewilligung - Student). Requirements include the official Letter of Admission from an Austrian university, proof of accommodation in Austria (e.g. student dorm contract), valid health insurance covering all risks, criminal record certificate (apostilled), and proof of sufficient funds in a bank account (approx. €600–€1,100/month depending on age).
