Why study at Netherlands
The Netherlands is a continental European pioneer in English-taught higher education, offering over 2,100 programs taught 100% in English across world-ranked research universities (such as TU Delft, University of Amsterdam, Wageningen, and Erasmus University Rotterdam) and universities of applied sciences (HBO). Dutch higher education is globally renowned for interactive, student-centred problem-based learning (PBL), cutting-edge engineering, sustainable agriculture, computer science, international law, and business. International graduates benefit from the prestigious 'Orientation Year' (Zoekjaar) residence permit allowing one full year of unrestricted work in the Netherlands, with direct pathways to the EU Blue Card.

Student Visa
Non-EU students require a Provisional Residence Permit (MVV - Machtiging tot Voorlopig Verblijf) and a Dutch Student Residence Permit (VVR - Verblijfsvergunning Regulier). The Dutch university submits the combined application (TEV procedure) directly on behalf of the student to the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). Key requirements: unconditional Letter of Acceptance, paid tuition fee, proof of sufficient living funds (approx. €12,500 transferred to university account or bank solvency letter), and valid passport. Upon arrival in the Netherlands, the student registers at the local municipality (Gemeente) to obtain a BSN number and collects their IND residence card.
