Why study at Switzerland

Switzerland is a premier global pinnacle of academic excellence, groundbreaking innovation, and world-leading research, boasting two of the world's top 10 institutions: ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology) and EPFL (Lausanne), alongside prestigious cantonal universities (University of Zurich, Geneva, Basel, and St. Gallen). Switzerland is universally acclaimed for world-class Engineering, Computer Science, Quantum Technologies, Life Sciences, Banking and Finance, and Luxury Hospitality Management (such as EHL Hospitality Business School). Remarkably, public university tuition is heavily government-subsidized and remains extremely low (CHF 1,000–1,500/year for all nationalities), while students enjoy peerless quality of life, highest safety, multilingual culture, and unmatched scientific research funding.

Fees

Tuition fees at Swiss public research universities (including ETH Zurich, EPFL, University of Zurich, and Geneva) are heavily state-subsidized and remarkably affordable for both domestic and international students, typically ranging between CHF 1,000 and CHF 2,000 per academic year (approx. US$1,100–$2,300). In contrast, private institutions and elite hospitality schools range between CHF 25,000 and CHF 45,000 per year. However, living expenses in Switzerland are substantial, with Swiss cantonal immigration authorities requiring proof of living funds of at least CHF 21,000 to CHF 24,000 per year (approx. CHF 1,600–CHF 2,200 per month).
